| Jeannine
Baker is a filmmaker, researcher, historian and curator specialising in
Australian social history.. She has worked in the TV documentary, radio,
print and museum fields. In 2001 Jeannine wrote and directed Our Drowned
Town, a half hour documentary about the inundation of Adaminaby township
by the Snowy Mountains Scheme, for SBS TV. She was the archival researcher
on the Film Australia documentaries City of Dreams and Federation, and
researcher and production manager on the oral history series Australian
Biography VII. Jeannine has curated or researched a number of museum exhibitions,
including the Australian Museum's Death and Body Art exhibitions, for
which she also directed a series of short films. Jeannine has produced
for Radio National's Verbatim series, and written for the Oxford Companion
to Australian Gardens. Jeannine has a Master of Arts in Public History
from UTS (2001). |
