30 October | Reva Gets Nominated

Walking on Water, which Reva Childs edited, has been nominated for 9 AFI Awards including best director, best actor, best actress and best editing! That is on top of getting 7 nominations at the Australian Film Critic Circle Awards which included best film, best director and best editing.

12 October | austraLYSIS in Brisbane

austraLYSIS (Roger Dean, Sandy Evans, Hazel Smith and Greg White) are performing multimedia works at the Brisbane Powerhouse, October 18 and 19.

12 October | Roberta McGregor Tours

This weekend soprano, Roberta McGregor, will be playing two recitals in Mosman and Wollongong as well as a Tasmanian tour early in November following the release of her debut CD, Your Eyes Smile Peace.

12 October | Charisma Tours

Charisma is just wrapping up their tour of Europe this week. They will be playing their last concert on October 16th in Darmstadt. After they return, they will be doing a through Leichardt, Mittagong and Kangaroo Valley.

11 October | Bach's Second Performance

Bach: a Sonic Exhibition, devised by Greg White, Rafaelle Marcellino and The Seymour Group and first performed at the Newtown Theatre in 2000, has its second performance at 9pm Nov 5 at The Performance Space, Sydney as part of the Cultural Festival Program for the Sydney 2002 Gay Games.

04 October | Ros Dunlop - Solo

Colin Sands is putting the finishing touches to Ros Dunlop's new solo clarinet CD which will be released when Charisma return from their European Tour.

30 July | Our Drowned Town Screens

This Thursday, the documentary "Adaminaby - Our Drowned Town" will be aired on SBS at 8pm. This documentary is about the 'drowning' of the NSW country town, Adaminaby, that was done to make way for the Snowy Mountains Scheme

30 July | Charisma CD Launch

On Saturday, August 10th Charisma will be having a multimedia concert in Rozelle. At this concert they will also e releasing their debut, self-titled album. For more information, check out their website.

29 July | Roberta McGregor CD Launch

Roberta McGregor will be launching her debut CD this coming Sunday, 4th August. It will be accompanied by a recital by Roberta and is at St Paul's Anglican Church in Burwood. For details and booking information, check out her site

July 10 | What is Music?

Greg White performed with Robbie Avenaim, Richard Johnston, Kimmo Vennonen and Roger Dean in the inaugural What Is Music? concert in the ACT at the University of Canberra.

30 May | Death Masks from Darlinghurst

Sydney filmmaker, Jeannine Baker, is producing a short story for "Moments in Time", an ABC series which screens Sundays at 6:55pm. The story is based on some death masks collected by the Australian Museum in the 1830's which were cast from convicted criminals after they were hanged at Darlinghurst jail!

24 May | Colin Gets Engaged

Just recently, Colin Sands got engaged to the lovely Kirsty Hales. No date is set for the wedding yet but it will be some time this year.

20 May | Bach Goes to the USA

Bach: A Sonic Exhibition, a music theatre piece created by Greg White and Raffaele Marcellino, will be toured to the USA in 2003 by the Seymour Group.

18 May | Sounding the Museum

Great White Noise was a major sponsor for the Sounding the Museum launch today at the Powerhouse Museum. This unique project opens the museum experience to sight-impaired people with music by Romano Crivici and poetry by Jann Rutherford.

01 May | Reva Cuts to India

Editor, Reva Childs leaves soon for Mumbai where she is cutting her first Indian feature film!

25 April | Kowmung Music Festival

Great White Noise recorded the 6th Kowmung Music Festival in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney March 16/17, and 22/23/24 with our portable ProTools system. There were some great sounding performances, particularly in the Abercrombie Caves. We have almost finished editing and mixing for the CD.
